Audi 80 1.6 Avant

hi all, this is my first post on this forum...
i have just brought a white Audi 80 1.6 Avant, just picked it up on Saturday... so far so good am loving it.... its been lowered and scraps on everything...

just a quick question tho, i filled her up (cost me £70

) drove for about 5 miles and then the fuel gauge drop from full to empty.... what could be the problem, is that a common fault?
also are parts hard to source?

Howdo fella,

the fuel gauge would point to 2 things.

1: faulty fuel gauge sender
2: a bloody great big petrol leak!!

i didnt leave any pools of fuel.... so im guessing its the the sender... is that a big job?
also my insurance ran out yesterday, and am getting stupidly high quotes (gessing its cause of the golf) any Audi / (classic) insurance ppl you recommend?

parts aren't to bad to get hold of. have you tryed Adrian Flux 0845 1303400 for insurancce

thats alot for a 1.6 my modified 80 cost less than £300 with them

im 26 but because of the idiots who set my car alight its gone up stupid.... well annoyed, i was paying £450 on the GTI and they asking £730 for a 1.6 estate....
