Buried in amongst a host of Bay parts is this ex-NZ 100 for sale - may be of interest to someone on this forum.

Hi Coxy, sorry haven't been on the forum a while -been working lots and trying to shift parts to work on the bay and this.
It is my car, the cars not really officially for sale but as I have not carried out any work on it to drive is I probably would sell. The price at £3250 is the basic cost of shipping and import tax (it does stand me in at £5k). Have all reciepts and paperwork to. Unregistered but tax free as a German made '71 (not CKD). Nice car as drove it over both islands in N.Z. before import. It does come with loads of NOS parts, a re-built and spare engine to -I have too many spares ![]() Rust free too ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thank you. It should be a keeper and to be honest I don't see it selling. What I m after is any info on factory tooling as I need to replace a wheel bearing (front) and I also have some NOS driveshafts to fit. I have the factory manual but see that I need to make up or buy the correct tool to set the wheel bearing play. Any ideas?

Easy.
Buy yourself a magnetic stand and a dial gauge. From the info i have the dial gauge is attached to the strut/bearing housing and the dial gauge zeroed when the plunger contacts the hub itself. Then attach a bar/lever to the hub and attempt to prise the hub up and down so the gauge registers the movement. Just note the max/min readings and adjust the hub nut to tighten/slacken the bearings to bring them into spec before locking off the hubnut with the cap and split pin. Same basic principle as doing rear taper rollers on a coupe gt. ![]() |

Just had a PM on VZi, car can be for sale but I am not actively pushing it as would quite like to drive it over here and don't mind storing it until I get the chance to work on it.
If you want it as is, won't tyre kick or haggle and turn up with a trailor and cash I'll sell, if not I'm keeping it. ![]() ![]() |
