BINNED THE 80 CABRIO THIS MORNING so Helen purchased a V8 S4

went to collect the 80 cabrio from Colin's then took it to trade in for this:

At least the V8 doesnt have an oil leak and has an under tray

Collect it next weekend.

46k miles tiptronic auto.

we were allowed to take it for a drive so I asked if I can take it home and get my camera..... so we took it home

not even sorted out the finance or paperwork yet so got to the dealers, car sat waiting for us and came back an hour later. BLOODY HELL what an engine

its getting serviced this week so collect it next Saturday

and who's name is going on the V5..... mine

Very nice! Good choice!

One thing, these have small auxillary rads below the head lights, behind the bumpers. On early cars these leaked for fun! Not a mojor issue but well worth getting swapped while under warrenty or atleast make sure they have been!

Great engine these. Did you know, the rear mounted (so it can be single thickness rather than twin) timing chain system was developed for this engine so it shortened the unit by 52mm, allowing fitment to the A4 shell.
Verry free revving and aurel!

Surely the oil leaks a piece of piss to fix.

Just curious as to what youre doing with NGC...

OR MORE GAY now that it has 8 cylinders

traded NGC in, was going to let D'aygo go as well but since we still owe a bit on finance, the difference between his trade in value and what we owe wasnt worth letting him go.... SO..... so we decided to keep him, he is cheap to run, cheap to insure and 35 quid to tax and if I aint mistaken he will be free from roadtax in 2010?

NGC is a great car but Helen just couldnt let this opportunity go past without a scrap so... another 5 years finance ahead!! I'llpick up D'aygo's outstanding balance and @ 110 quid a month he should break me!!

if your interested you'd better pipe up soonest while we still have claim on it and can hold it for you at the dealers.

new timing belt just done
new front crankcase seal
new sump seals done
new discs and pads all round just done
serviced by Grizz when we got it.. fresh filters, oil sparklers
RS4 style new wheels and tyres are pretty new ( not fitted by us though)

nah.... according to Top Gear this is the better car. The RS CABRIO is just set up too stiffly.
