Does anyone know how to quieten the interior on mt Audi 100 sport 1988. It rattles and creaks while driving, and going over bumps. It has made the car basically feel like crap. The sounds are generally coming from all over, for example the dash centre console makes a creak/crack sound when going over a large bump in the road.
Does anyone have any experience of this, i would appreciate your comments. Dav |

hmmmm. I got a 1987 Audi 100 sport and I'd like to say I could help but mine is probably the quietest car I've got. No rattles, no squeaks, nothing.
Is it just coming from the dash area? If so, probably nothing more than someone has taken it out in the past and the usual only putting half the screws back in. |

Seriously it could be as simple as Coxy says or things need tightening up.

It may well be, I will have to inspect closer, i cant localise the creaks, they just come from all over, and not necessarily the dash, door cards, areas around the roof lining, the rear of the car.
I suppose its a testament to a well used car. |

Yep, mine's a bit creaky too. Don't think there's much you can do though.

Maybe take the odd bit off you find squeeky/rattly and carefully add some foam in places unvisible to prevent it/pad it out?
I made war on my 200sx and spent ages doing this, worked in the end!! ![]() |
