Default ball joint referbishment

i have had a clunk coming from the front drivers side for a while now and desided to take a good luck last week as its been getting worse since the isle of man , to my horror i found a badly warn track rod end the only thing is on a UR the ofside one has no adjustment so goes from ball to rack and after a call to pete reve i nearly fell of the stool £130 for just the one aaarrrrrrrh , so i took both of them of and from the rack and took them to a place in liverpool who recons ball joints and this is the finished job thay came back cleaned of and painted and it cost me the vast sum of £35 each and thay are now fitted with grease nipples even better .iv givern him the two bottom ball joints i took of last year to do now so iv a set of spair ones on the shelf for next time thay will cost £40 each "bargen".

That's a great find... Do we need a 'Fix-it, refurb-it' forum on here?
