im after a repair panel for the rear valance on an audi 90 type 85, hadrian list one up to 84 but mine is an 85 on a b is there a difference, iwould of thought the panel was the same for all the type 85 saloons

I'm sure they are different to the 1984 models but of coaurse you can also look for a panel listed for the 80 and if it is just the valence wouldn't need to be for a quattro either.
I know where there is an 80 body that you could cut one out of, car is near Bedford, in fact I expect you could have the whole car for £100, it's a 1.6 80 saloon minus lights and a few other bits. |

yes the panels are the same for 80+90 and no they are not different for quattro, they are all the same part number as in the link, but the only part thats available is the upto 84 panel,
if i have to ill make it from scratch, but if i can find the correct repair panel it would make my life so much easier |

no im gonna fit the early panel and the early lower rear corners
i think the whole lot came to about 60 or 70 quid, but i have got a friend who works with sheet metal who is gonna try and make me the correct profile. |

OK
My Sport has gone to be tidied up around the rear ( shunted in it's early days and needed a new wing and rear panel) Scabby around the rear arch and bits across where the the rear panel fits. My suspicions have been confirmed -- it was repaired, Audi approved bodyshop, very poor job and no seam sealer was used ![]() Whilst they can improve matters considerably they would really like to fit a new panel to ensure longevity. |
