Default Any Sweeney Fans in the house???

Shut iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit,Guv Guv Guv,were The Sweeney and we havent had any dinner son,If you werent who you were-Id kick yer arse right up to yer shoulder blades etc etc
If these classic Thaw/Waterman phrases mean anything to you then theres a fair chance youve either seen or love The Sweeney.

But,I wondered, how many Sweeney fans are in amongst us here?

I spent some time back on my old fave Sweeney Forum last night,as NHK 295M-the Sweeney Consul 3.0GT is nearing the end of the body part of its resto.

For interest, heres a link to the thread.

Scroll right down to see a couple of pics of the shell and as yet untouched engine.

A lot of the cars from the Proffs have been restored and around today.

The New Avengers, always like the XJC V12 Broadspeed Jaguar.

Quite funny as most of those shows BL supplied the cars and the production team had so many problems with continuity as they kept taking the cars back ro road tests etc, you even see the same SD1 in an episode of the New Avengers and the Profs....

(time to get my annorak)

Ah yes, The New Avengers. I remember rushing home to see that on tv when they re-ran the series in about '96. Superb!
And the Protectors too. I'll have to get the DVD's methinks.

ITV4 and Men and Motors are still running most of those shows
