Hi All,
It has been a long time since I was last on here as have been busy with work. Anyway here goes the tech requests:- i have been doing major work on my 1982 Audi Coupe GT 5s and run into some problems, I have one seized and one broken bleed nipple. First thing is what size are the threats? Second question is where can I get replacement nipples? and the third and final question (for the moment) is where can I get caliper rebuild kits? Thank you for your help with this and once back on the road I will get the pictures up here for all to see.

it may be more cost effective in the long run to get replacements.
I have heard good reports about these people http://www.biggred.co.uk/index.html Anyway how's the resto going. I didn't realise I have a fellow 1982 GT5S member here. Tell us a bit more about the car and did you manage to get your quadlight trim? |

I have in the past been able to get bleed nipples from Audi, I don't think I was able to find them anywhere else - at least the correct ones anyway!

Hi guys,
Thank you for the quick quick replies. I have been looking at Bigg Red for the rebuild kits, and after having their web address (not just flee bay) I have found they have the bleed nipples. My father has carefully drilled the old ones out as he has all the gear in his machine shop. And he was wondering the thread, now seeing they do a M7x1 nipple that is the ones I need. Now I just have to wait on the email back to see if the rebuild kit I have found on there will do my Coupe. I hope the calipers on the Mark 1 and Mark 2 are the same, as it means they do it. I have the headlight trims, as a result I will soon have loads of spare headlight bits and pieces for sale. I will get some pictures up soon, I feel bad showing it at the mo as it does not look as good as most the other Audis on here.

Have to agree with Martyn Here Jono. Get some pics up. Its great to see the progress of the cars as the resto takes place. Also ALl pics are an inspiration as it shows what people have had to go through to get the cars where they are today. So don't be ashamed pf her put some pics up

Good News, the rebuild kit and nipples arrived today (only ordered yesterday).
Now I can get the brakes rebuilt, get the car moved and take some pictures of it easier. Hope you like the pictures once i get them done.

I have had a long day working on the brakes, the rebuild kist has arrived, the new nipples also arrived. Pistons came out with some effort and with some cleaning worked, put the new nipples in and guess what..... stripped the threads... oh well time to drill them out to 8mm and start again.
