Cool Inglenook Farm car meet

Spotted F450 RCK, tidy tornado B3 at Inglenook Farm, Rainford at the weekend. Fairways of Lytham plates

Nice day for it too, looked nice under the sunshine

Hi Chris, its only a 15min walk for me so yes, i have been known to have a mosey round!

Thanks for asking about HOL, i did quite a bit in 2024/25, replaced the rear subframe with one from an earlier CQ that i got blasted / powder coated. (close enough and bolted straight on) took that tip from you about Verkline and got a complete set of subframe / diff bushes from there Took ages for them to supply but i think they only make them in batches so must have been unlucky there.

At the same time i did the rear ball joints & wishbone bushes. was going to change the rear shocks but couldnt find any… with ot being the sport setup the standard shocks are too long. So i painted everything and fitted the inserts from a v6 cq i had in my parts stash. on the basis they were newer and fitted…

Somehow the clutch pedal came adrift, old plastic i think, only needed a small retainer for the return spring but ended up having to buy a 2nd hand pedal box to get it…

Anyway she is all back on her wheels now, needs an mot - i am not sure about the brakes though. Since all the banging and swearing at the back the abs has become a bit eager, i think i have duplicated an issue i used to have at the front, must have disturbed a sensor… i need to put some miles on her really but cant without the mot. I noticed a small knock at the back when going between forwards and backwards - i think the polys are a lot harder than the old ones, everything is done up to torque so not sure. I might actually go back to the rubber diff mounts as i cant shake the feeling thats what it is…

When it goes for test I’m guessing these will be issues, so haven't done it yet.

Hows your fleet…?
