Classic Car Insurers

Hello folks,

My insurer (LV) has stopped offering classic car cover.

My search for another will soon begin and I was wondering what your experiences were dealing with firms like Footman James or Lancaster Insurance etc.,..?

Opinions appreciated..

I've used Lancaster for the last few years.
Very competitive, in fact my premium went down by 10% last renewal and they also offer agreed value policies.
They have my recommendation

Heritage have been competitive for me but never had to make a claim. They also offer European breakdown cover with recovery for £40 which I think is a bargain on a 30yr old car.

I did mine one with Footman & James.
Comprehensive, agreed value, £100 excess, Nil salvage deduction, Europe included - all for £230something per year.
