Default 80 Sport Fuel Metering Head Needed, Same as Mk1 GTI???

Hi All,

Hoping somebody can help!

My 80 sport is poorly sick and needs a new Fuel Metering Head! Am I right in thinking they are the same as a Mk1 Golf GTI uses???

Anyway, the Bosch Part Number is: 438.120.189

Also need the fuel pipe that runs undernetah the car as someone has replced mine with rubber fuel hose

Cheers Y'all

Steve

I think they are the same, or you can use one from a b3 80 1.8E with DZ engine as they are the same
engine and bolt stright in not 100% sure if golf gti has the same fixings

will check at weekend as i have a few metering heads... essentially all the same as the capacity will relate to fuel needed.

Yo! Looks like you could be sorted, but if you get toally stuck I've got one from my 1.8GT Coupe (DZ 049842) that got too rusty and had to go. It was working fine when removed a few months ago, although the car was high mileage (236k) it ran fine. It's sat here, so no probs either way. Cheers.

DZ engine is the same as on mk2 GTI 8v golf, only in vw's this engine was with code, if I remember correctly, EV - different because there is different intake manifold
