Default Alternator for a 7A

2.3 20v engine Coupe (7A) I need an alternator if anyone has one please.

If your alternator has simply stopped charging, it'll probably be the regulator on the back that needs changed...

Read somewhere that you can replace it with a 15v type as opposed to 14??

Its working but the pulley is on its way out judging by the sound!

You can fit a diode to take it up a bit.

15v regulator for a 7A/3B below, dont know of one for ABY. At £12 not really worth fitting a diode then!

I have never done fitted a 15v reg, relaying the headlights and fuel pump make a big difference if you measure the voltage drop.

Sorry- false alarm! I was convinced my Alternator had gone because it was noisy and the belt looked fine to me. However I changed the belt at the weekend and it seems fine now.
