is it possible to revive the chrome window trim found on an 80? mines kinda tarnished a gold colour in places, or is it as i expect...beyond saving

Some of the chrome strips have a plastic type coating on them and it is this that yellows and there's not a fat lot you can do about it. Not sure from what year or what years it was though. If it doesn't have plastic coating on it then any decent metal polish such as Peeks or Autosol will bring it back up.
