Yes i was chuffed ! I got the train down from Bonny Scotland ,and drove her back last night 225 miles no bother. The car needs some body work done, theres a little misfire, exhausts got a hole in it(sounds great) underneath and drivetrain solid, wee bit of pillar rot.The lad at the garage had 380 hits in one day on the car, there was alot of interest. Also picked up a cheap as chips 90quattro F reg with a perfect interior(needs a wing, wheel bearing) its well nippy for a 10v its the 2.2KV engine sounds LOVELLY! Audicoupeparts has got a coupe quattro for sell.

Hi mate and congrats on your 2 buys!

Before Coxy spies this post I'd probably just echo what he says anyway...

If youre going down the rotary (random orbital) polishing route make sure you know how to use one properly or you'll just burn through the paint..

Personally I'd do it by hand using Farecla G3 paste, then normal Meguiars Polish, then wax.I use Zymol Cleaner wax cheap from Halfords strangely,as its a pricey brand.

Why not buy some G3 then take shots of her, upload them, and we can advise as you go in the event youre not sure mate...

Classic Raudi.....were here to help!

What exactly is G3 paste? Is it a form of T-cut?

when you use g3 make sure you put it on a very wet car ,otherwise it will burn the paint, used it several times, also seen on wheeler dealers

How do you apply it ? perhaps a small area at a time.Is it better than a T-cut?
Does it need to be Warm weather?

Bit of a myth this....

Its not just making sure that either the pad of the buffer or the car is wet its more to do with constantly holding the buffer in the same place or too much pressure that 'may' cause the paint to burn through.

Burning through the paint is more likely to occur if the paint on the car is substandard, you have to go some to burn through decent paint......
