There is usually a fair few on Autotrader. I have a 98 A6 2.8q Saloon myself, which I have had for about 5 years, now. 192k on the clock and still goes very well. Compare the spec of the cars for sale as they vary from poverty spec (cloth trim etc) to fully specced up with heated leather memory seats, Bose CD, Sunroof, Cruise etc. Don't discount the A8 Sport though, again a cracking car and they handle great for their size.

Looking good Chris!, very nice spec too.

For the seats try Gliptone leather cleaner, followed by their leather conditioner. It's good stuff and relatively cheap. Or Leatherique if you can find it.

Clay bar is easy to use, make sure you use a lot of lubrication. The clay bar will take surface impurities out of the paint, like tree samp and contaminants. It won't get rid of hairline scratches, you will need to have the car mopped with a suitable polish / cutting compound to remove the swirls and scratches. The apply a suitable wax to protect your new paintwork!

Nice car by the way!

Looks like a good car mate and a nice spec, especially with the full leather and 7 seat option. Somebody spent a few bob buying that new!!

I am swapping my Golf for an A6 Allroad. Have test driven a couple and I'm just looking for the right spec now. Oh and getting rid of the Golf!!
