Hi. Looking for any advice. My father in law has an Audi 100 GL 1800 with a genuine 36700 miles on. Hull registered in 1976, he has owned it for 38 years, never driven it and kept it dry stored. It is absolutely original and I really couldn't over-emphasise the showroom condition of this car. He's now decided to sell it, where's the best place to advertise it and what sort of value should it have, anyone got any idea? All suggestions welcome. Located in North Yorkshire. Cheers.

I'm sure I can. Yeah it's as original as the day it was new, he's absolutely meticulous with looking after his cars. Too good to drive perhaps when he buys it, then before you know it he's just kept it 38 years and it's gotten old....!

do you know what the paint code/colour is?
normally in the engine bay on the inner arch or under the boot lid? I've got a load of stuff for the C1 Audi 100 at work with all the colour charts, but I'm having a day off today! |

Just what I was thinking...and another to end up with the Audi museum maybe?
My advice ? stick it on eBay with a ridiculous reserve and see where the bidding goes. Or whop it into Coys auctions in London....... Final comment is that the roof is obviously a different colour, but is it a vinyl roof or a painted one and if so did Audi do that from new? I have never seen anything like that from what I can remember back to the early 70's . Such a pretty looking car though, I'm sure we'll all want it! |

looks like a black vinyl roof. Quite a popular addition in the 70's. Some dealers offered it on new cars. My dad had his Morris Marina TC and Ford capri both done with vinyl roofs!
As long as they're not split, they are fine, else they become a water trap and not long till you find yourself with holes above yer head!! |

looks too dull to be Miami Blue which was a 1970's VAG paint colour seen on a few VW Golfs.
Flipper Blue was another VAG blue paint option listed for 1975 and looks similar to this but never seen an Audi in that colour |
