I think that the first insight the B2 had in rallying was the Quattro (very early 80s) but it wasn't long before the works team was also entering 80 quattros so yeah, go for it. I'm sure one of the hardcore fanatics will be able to give you stats and colour schemes etc.

This is the firm I used,

http://www.lightbarsdirect.co.uk/hella_spotlights.html

It's the Hella Rallye 3000's you'll want

The Lorry boys won't pay the silly demon tweeks prices... These came without the covers and are the main beams (spots)...

The 'Pencil' lamps will have to come from Demon Tweeks (or similar) unfortunately...

I think you'll only need 4 on the front of an 80 to be authentic anyway.

If you look, I went for the 'fluted' glass as clear wasn't an option in 1983...

They are 50% cheaper than demon tweeks, might pay you to have a scout locally for some truck suppliers.

Hella Rally 2000's (as on the rally cars) are very similar, but were superceded by the 3000's several years ago.

They are based 45seconds around the corner from my friend. £300 for 6 isnt a bad price at all.
