Search for "Poly Strip Disc" on google. Brilliant if you are just wanting to take paint off and light rust but will not take off metal.

did you scuff the paint with rough sand paper before applying the stripper?

Thumbs up Thanks lads.

Thinking of stripping the whole shell, back to metal?
How long would the 3M disks last and how many,do you think I'd need? Also how many hours would it take,to strip whole car?
Any experience or help, would be greatful.
What are your thoughts on,universal dust extractor(angle grinder)?
Thanks.

if you use a flap disc you will warp and mark the metal... i doubt it needs bringing back to bare metal everywhere!!! just do the areas where repairs are needed and only the bit you intend to do start to finish at any one time.. .. you hear talk of bare metal resprays .. that needs to be done in the correct environment cause every second the metal is bare it vulnerable to rust, itll look fine and you apply paint... then a couple of months down the line you get spiders under the paint .. if you really want to do that send it for chemical dipping... at least it will be treated with a primer as quick as possible, take it back and do your repairs.. then send it for painting... hope that makes sense... im not the best at verbalizing...

Default New to all this.

No that makes sense and I'll take it on board.
Maybe I won''t go to,bare metal?Only to,repair areas.
What disc would I need to strip, only top layer of paint off?Or would I,need a disc?
Thanks.
I will have to,do some research.
