evenin' all,
is there anyone out there who can lend me an N75 boost control valve and an engine speed sensor for my 1996 s6 to rule out the slight miss it suffers on full boot? it's an aan engine as you probably know. i'd be happy to pay postage out and for them to be safely returned again. many thanks, craig

More than likely one of the coil packs, they were never the most hardy of items.....

Are you able to check or have checked the fault codes from the engine?
Even better if you know someone with VAGCOM to check what the car is doing when its running

yes, good old quattrokid hooked his laptop and vag com thingy up to the car and it came up with three faults: ISV, engine speed sensor and this n75 boost control valve.
i replaced the spark plugs and the misfire that it had even at idle speed has stopped now and only this hesitation at full throttle around the 4500-5000rm range is bothering me. any thoughts, anyone? ![]()

Check the fuses before replacing anything.
Common fuse for ISV and N75

now that's a point and here's a daft question for you: what i thought was the fuse box (under driver's windscreen wiper like most audis) appears to have just a few relays in there and no fuses. my old a6 had the fuse panel in the end of the dash board at the passenger door (i think), however, my s6 has airbag panels at both ends! any idea where all my fuses live?

Just google urs6 fuse panel and you will see some pictures so you can see what I mean. The fuse box under the bonnet has some random ones like the cigarette lighter ![]()
