Angry This Storm is Mad.

Got out of work and 2 trains cancelled.
Finally got train home and all the lights went off at the train car park.
Got home in car and parked up drive, car was getting rocked.
Got into house and 5 minute later,a big bang.Went outside to find the side fence+gate(6ft 6 inches high and 10 foot across)ripped off the side of the house and across the front of my car.
The wind had snapped 3(4x4)posts holding the fence up.It picked it up and smashed it into the front of the car.Wing and bonnet, stoved in.Then the wheely bin got picked up and also smashed into, front of car. That got wedged under the front and smashed all my black skirt grill out.Tidied up quickly and got back in house, nearly blown off my feet.
Few minutes later move car right down the drive, just incase??
Just waiting for something else to happen, things are flying around the back garden.
I've been in strong winds, but this one is SCARY.

Bad sh*t. Just going out to shift cars now, four tons (tree) of timber within fall height of mine. Not picked up properly yet (only about 50 mph atm. Kind of normal breeze up here) but is starting!

hope the car is ok Karl.

It's mad here. We're on a side of a hill and totally exposed. About 30 foot of fencing blew over a few hours ago and half the roof of our neighbours shed seems to be in our back garden at the moment.
I tried to get the fence back up earlier but it's like pissing in the wind (literally!)

That's a job for tomorrow afternoon now

Never even knew this was coming! Getting a bit breezy now.. Cars are safe, trampoline may take out the house across the field shortly, dunno if the 250kg of breeze block will hold it this time. Focn hope so, not buying another one!

Anyone accept climate change is going to kill us all now?

Hate they way 'politicians' suddenly care, (pledged funds) now that some rich folk got wet wilton ( and how the rest of the Uk has suddenly disappeared in terms of reporting, as usual) but will be a great way to stimulate the building, civil engineering, related trades. To hell with building free houses for lazy bartsrads to live in scot free, lets build a 750 mile diameter glass dome!

is it down to climate change or over development?

How many housing projects, roads or factory developments have been built up on flood plains over the past 30 years? How much of those areas are now pumped full of concrete and have no where to go but up?
