Default Life without an audi!

Sold my tdi avant last night, it's being collected on tuesday after i get the windscreen sorted (it lost a fight with a big stone on the m1).

So as of tuesday last week my 2.5yrs of audi ownership will come to an end. I'll still have the bus,bug and a golf, but i'm not taking bets on how long it'll be before i buy another!

surely the lure of 5 cylinders will get you back into reality!
Can't imagine you using the '03 as a daily driver through winter! Get a nice early quattro instead before some daft sod slaps about 200% of scene tax on to the value!!

5 cylinders good, petrol consumption on 16mile / 2 hour commute not good.

cos, it needed lots of work over the next year, cv, windscreen, rear brakes, shocks etc etc, and the bug will be tax free and less than a ton to insure

Got the golf for reliable car duties / long haul and the van for big stuff moving

I've been without mine for the past 17 months although I have seen it every week to take bits off, 9 layers of paint, cut all the rust out, remake the panels, and finally today the car went back to Montego black !!
By the end of the week all the doors etc. will be black then I can start the long process of putting everything back together.
I hope it still works after all this time !!

It'll be worth it when it's back again and all complete!
Doon't worry if you've got a few spare nuts, bolts, etc lying around when you put it back toegther either! that normally happens with me when I try and do a resto!!
