Default Brake Bodge

I had a job in this afternoon, handbrake cable to replace on my mates transit van and check shoes ect.
Anyhow i got it in the air got wheels and drums off and there it was, the best bodge iv seen in a long time as whoever had done the brakes previously obviously had problems with the adjusters, so instead of filing the teeth to freshen them up they obviously thought it better to WELD the adjusters in a fixed posistion spot the deliberate mistake, a simple easy job has turned into a long job by some numpty i knows best wanker. Dont ya just love em.

I had a mk2 transhit once that had been bodged like that. Took me ages to sort it and get the drums back on once new shoes were fitted. Had to force the drums on with a big bit of scaffold tube, until there was enough thread showing to get some wheel nuts on to wind it the rest of the way on. Bastards. It took me until 3am to finish that job.

I couldn't even manage to get the drums back on, i ended up having to split the weld with the big chisel so i could get it back together and get it off my drive and he still had the use of the van.
I will be ordering the new adjuster kit today.
