be very careful when fitting a dump valve. can cause more problems then they are worth.not sure about audis but some systems are sealed breathing .and dump valves cause erratic idling.get advice before you do it.

No the waste gate is fine, however i was told the dump valve would need replacing soon.
Seemingly these were bad for going on this engine or something, but the guy hasnt ever fitted an after market dump valve to this engine so couldnt advise on which ones to buy.

Im going to be fitting the uprated waste gate spring but the car is down on power becasue of the dump valve so want that sorted first

He's confusing dump valve with blow-off valve
Dump is better, without that stupid "psh-psh" sound all thime Ok, some kids like them - "I'm the real need for speed man"
P.S. I heared that big pressure difference can reduce life of turbo - in case of blow-off.

No A dump valve makes the the K-shhhh noises associated with Turbos, it is a device to dump excess boost to stop the turbo stalling when you come off the gas and back on it again!

I think most VAG turbo applications from the factory run a re-circ system nwhich dumps the excess boost back into the system!

If it dunt make the k-shh sounds already it prob has a re-circ system! Best off talking to Forge about their uprated re-circ valves!

Summat like this:

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/con...oduct=FMCL007P

Not sure if that particular one will work on your engine though, they also sell uprated waste gate actuators!!!

Dump valve connects exhaust side of turbo to intake side of turbo, while blow-off connects exhaust side with atmosphere, making this sound
