Evening people - hope you are all well??
Due to the current slow progress of my GT5s at the paint shop, I thought I better clean out the garage and sell some of the spares to generate some funds towards completing my baby. All these parts listed are from my old 5 cylinder JS engined GT5S and the one I broke last year and the parts have been stored in the loft of my garage. *Front Subframe - Freshly powder coated Gloss black, complete with powder coated wishbones with Powerflex bushes and new ball joints. All fitted but removed due to upgrade (see thread 1981coupe GT5s) - Never saw the road - £150 SOLD *Powder coated Anti roll bar, with new Powerflex bushes to suit above - £50 SOLD *Radiator 18mths old great nick - £40 SOLD *Used Alternator x2 £10 each *Used Power steering pump x2 £10 each *Used Starter motor £20 *Used but great nick Steering Wheel £40 *unused NOS Rotor arms x 2 £10 each *New oil filter £10 *Accelerator cable 1 manual £5, 1 Autobox £5 *Clutch cable 1 new £20. 1 used £10 *Second hand seat covers used but would be good with a wash £20 *Pierburg carb and Inlet manifold £40 *Pierburg carb only £20 *New Track rod £10 *New ball joint late model possibly type 85 (photo on request) £10 each *Black Diamond discs - have seen maybe 1000 miles tops £30 *Used HT leads and Dizzy cap £5 *Used Distributor £30 *Ignition modules x2 £5 each *1921cc GT5S engine 103k miles £100 *Gearbox for above £50 *Rear mudflaps £40 *1 front mudflap £10 *Header tank and pipework x2 £10 If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to drop me a pm, I'm sure there is more stuff to come so will be adding to this list. Also if anyone is interested, I still have the V reg Passat 1.8t that I broke the engine for. The engine has obviously been used and I have sold the easy stuff - wheels and Interior but if anyone is interested in the running gear, give me a shout. I wonder how much the front subframe would cost to post. Are you fixed on price?

Hi Jonny
The subframe has never seen the road and is freshly restored I spent £130 on parts, without the price for the powder coating but including £50 on Aluminium subframe mounts (which I forgot to mention in the advert )So Ideally I would like to get what I spent, I dont know where you live but I do a fair bit of travelling around the South of the Country with my job maybe we could meet somewhere? I have just posted on your thead as I have just finished some coilover front struts from the same car, have a look and let me know if your interested. This also goes for the Anti Roll Bar and Powerflex bushes. As all these parts were restored to go on my coupe but wouldnt fit after I decided to put the 1.8t engine in and needed a later gearbox so everything had to change ![]() Its all brand new and has never seen the outside of my garage ![]() |
