The first batch of UK Press cars were indeed all Emerald Green, and came highly specced, including the rear opening vent windows, air con, steel sunroof, heated seats etc, but no leather seats. Daz (Oldsynth) had one of them. They were all H1++ YVV.

Correct all Emerald Green, I was at Massingberd when they came out, hailed as the successor to mighty Ur quattro, and remember that we were a little disappointed, they just didn't seem as special, but 20 years on I am determined to have one, rather than an Ur.

Just a tragic that so many get broken for parts

a lovely colour - but I suspect a bit like the mauritius blue pearl on my B6 quattro - a pig to keep clean !!

I hanker after all sorts of cars, but with very limited space.... and frightened of some of the maintenance costs......and not wisshing to give up any of the three we currently have...... but a S2 Coupe would be on my list.
I really think that the later B3 and B4 models were probably some of the best Audis built. You also have the experience of the B3 quattro, albeit 20v, like we had the Sport and a 2.8quattro so I'm sure the S2 is similar. Trouble is I've hung out on the S2Forum for too many years, so I know what people spend on them !!,

H141yvv is mine, It was Darrons old one before the chap i bought it from. I knew it would consume all my spare time and cash being a high mileage and an early one, and its had alot of that already. I dont regret it at all though i. Absolutely love it.

i only have one copy of something that its in at home.
If you still have it how much do you want for it?

Thanks
Dave

I agree the b4s are solid and remain so even 21 years after leaving the factory. Built to a high standard and then given a price tag. Yes mine has needed alot of work but thats mainly all things rubber, perishing. Belts, hoses, tyres, gaskets, seals and bushes etc. Thats fine, It is 21 now. With all that sorted its great to drive.
*

Wonder how many of the 10 remain.

Cheers
