Default Boot Screw/Plastic Clips/Light Seals?

Hi there,

Yet again I want some tedius parts!

What I am looking for this time is some of the plastic push in screws that hold the piece of plastic on to the car thats located at the back in the boot seal area (The black piece that goes between the lights, with the section for the boot lock to fit through, it holds the boot liner in place). Im looking for 5 (I think, forgot to check that bit!)

Its for a 1985 Audi 80.

Also, does anyone know what is used exactly as the seal for the rear lights? Its like a black gum sort of stuff, and I would like to renew mine as I think they are letting in water. I have a full set of spare rear lights but not the seals..... Typical!

Many thanks in advance,

Sie!

Ps. I hope ive been clear on exactly what I want, if not I can get a couple of pictures.

Didn't know you could still get that. I use the old dum dum paste which works pretty well & is probably cheaper.

You can still get that.... but at a price of £25! Cant quite believe that..... (Thanks for that Amanda!).

Anyone know of something I can use in its place? Im am not sure just what 'dum dum paste' is? I want something that will seal it well, but I can remove again easily enough should the need be, and wont look out of place/a mess!

As for the boot clip Steve, I know my description was vague to say the least, so I have included a couple of pictures below of exactly what I want. I need those little plastic clip things (6 if possible, 5 would do), and they hold that piece of trim/plastic on.

Many thanks,

Sie!

Hi Sie, I've got some of these clips you can have - may only be 3 or 4 that are in tact. Not home currently tho. - can check next week if you don't get sorted meantime. As for 'dum dum'. It is virtually the same as the factory Audi stuff that Amanda showed a pic of, but you have to mould it to the appropriate shape - like plasticine - comes in a tub. You can get it from 'Frost' for about £10: it will do about 3 rear light sets or more. I've used it successfully as I said. Have not tried taking lights back out though: it is a bit more sticky than the Audi stuff, but not permanent like some sealant in a tube. Anyway; food for thought. Cheers.

Those clips look like ones that hold the wheel arches to the undertray on an A4 little cross head screw in the middle ?
