they have tried it on with us a couple of times

each time speaking to the wife who fortunatly didnt buy it

next time ill give them shit

just thought

there is supposed to be another one from bt again india where they call you and say they can cut you off and tell you to put the phone down and pick back up to prove it
of course they dont put down so you get the engaged tone so think they are genuine and go along with them

scum of the earth

And because youve given them access to your computer, who knows what mischief they can get up to

(and as you gave the info voluntarily, would you be covered for any 'damage' they do????)

This is nice one When I had telephone line and phone connected to it [and probably I'll have them again] sometimes I got some "spam" calls which for me, as a latvian, seemed strange, because in latvia nobody is calling or sending SMS randomly just to offer some bullshit. But this is something interesting

P.S. I still don't get how average careless user gets all unnecessary rubbish [trojans/rootkits], because I'm not using any antivirus bloatware - I don't need it. And I want to use all resources of my oldschool workstation

They will try, the conversation will begin with all the usual crap, then the issue of Mac will be introduced, he/she/it will demonstrate that they are suitably impressed by your immense wealth, and ask you if you are running vista...
'...er, no, it's a mac...'
(oh, gollygosh noises)
'please select the windows key....)
'...er, feckwit, it's a mac...'
(more, jovial twattishness ensues...)

Hours of fun to be had.
