Hi all, does anyone know how to fit the drop link bushes into the front anti roll bar on an 1985 Coupe? I've tried with a vice, with sockets/threaded bar and my local garage has tried with their press but no luck.
Here's a pic of the bush I'm changing, I've got this one out but can't get the new one in ![]() Thanks in advance Si |

they shouldn't be that difficult to get in. I used a G clamp and plenty of washing up liquid on my subframe bushes and they went in quite easily.

Put the bar in the vice. Boil the kettle, put the bush in a mug and pour on hot water, leave to soak for a few minutes, take a couple of small screwdrivers remove the bush from the water and with alot of care, use the screwdrivers to persuade the bushes in.

Or buy powerflex ones, they are in two parts.

Thanks for the advice all! It's very much appreciated, think I'm going to give 4v6's approach a try next as it seems the easiest way to go.

Finally managed to get the bushes in after making up a tool similar, (if not quite as elegant) as 4v6's. If anyone else needs to do this job it's the way I'd recommend. Many thanks for the help everyone
