Had a bit of a rethink, I was going to strip this Audi 100 2.2 turbo:
![]() to put the engine in this Audi 100 2.3 quattro: ![]() However, the MoT on this Audi 80CL is up at the end of the month: ![]() And it'll probably need some money spending on it. And as we've just had this: ![]() Time will be limited. So, I'm going to remove this currently residing in my garage: ![]() put the 80CL in the garage, and then in a couple of months (when the storage I have paid for runs out at the end of August), move the 100 turbo to my drive, sort out the hot starting problem, and MoT it. Basically I either spend money on the 80CL or the 100 turbo (so I have a choice of 2 cars to drive to work in), but if the 80CL is in the garage, I can start putting the engine from the 80 Sport into it. Then once the 1.8 DZ is in the 80CL, I can start stripping the 100 turbo. Sound like a cunning plan? Bored yet? Steve |

Short term plans for the 80CL are: sort out the bodywork so it doesn't rust any more Put the engine/brakes/suspension out of the 80 Sport into it Long term plans for the 80: respray in purple metallic flake moon disc wheel trims cow print seat covers 2.0 16V engine It IS the "pimpmobile" after all (it was my first car so I am keeping it) Then once the 80CL is back roadworthy with a decent sized engine, strip the 100 turbo and put the engine in the 100 quattro. OR (having thought about it overnight), sell both 100s (as they don't have any emotional attachment) and get a 200 quattro turbo Avant, or urS4 or urS6 Avant, or possibly A6 2.5 TDI quattro avant (the 140bhp 5 pot). |
