Hi all,
My 20v's water temp gauge does not have any numbers on it. It gets up to half way (12 o'clock) when stuck in traffic. Drops when moving just above the major mark at 11 o'clock. I'm running without the aux rad so it's running a bit hotter than usual. Makes me wonder how it'll be in the hotter days... :S Anyway, what are the major (and minor) markings on the gauge, in degress celcius? I have searched the forums and googled for images (as my bro's old S2 temp gauge did have numbers on it) but cannot find the answer. Thanks and regards, James |

The big one more or less in the centre of the gauge is 90 degs which is about where the car should run as the thermostat opens at 87 degs, if the temp is falling away when you start moving then it could be that the thermostat is faulty and staying open, or it could be a bad sender unit.

![]() It's not hard to find and stole pic like this ![]() On B3 it's the same. That aux rad is intended to give warranty that there wouldn't be any complaints about overheating in warranty time. I've heard that aux rad is really necessary for S2, because without it that 20vt engine may overheat - while driving in track. |
