Default German & Swedish Suspension Parts

Has anyone got any thoughts on top mounts and wishbone bushes from GSF are they as good a quality as the dealer or Quattro corner???

Its funny you should ask that....I went to my local specialist Vehicles who specialise in Audi's, BMW, Porshe etc.. They Work with the Audi dealers alot so I normally go there to get genuine parts (it's saves me going 20mile to nearest dealer) and they said to me that 98% of parts they use on the customers vehicles are GSF, and that they have never had a problem and highly rate the quality.....Well if it's good enough for them..Obviously there are a few parts that are geniune only but you get my drift.

TPS are for the trade so you will get a reasonable discount if you are (although some of the parts from Audi are criminally overpriced!), they have tightened up a lot on giving joe public a discount although I have seemed to be getting away with it so far....

gsf did although it may have changed have two priced for the greens, one with a cheap bearing and one with a quality german bearing. May have changed now. Pete supplied febi last time i had some last year, used the better gsf and petes and not noticed anything any better/worse. The last set got binned after apprx 18 months as there was slight play ( just before it was laid up last autumn )

Most of GSF parts are good but occasionally you get a duff part! I've come to realise that rubbers crack quite quickly on certain parts. Track rod end bushes have gone again and it's because of cheap rubber that doesn't last.

I ordered front wishbone bushes for Gelbus from them, quoteing Reg No etc. After removing wishbone on drivers side I found that the bushes supplied were too big. Can't get correct bushes until Monday so am without a car for the weekend. Thanks a lot GSF.
