Default The Film recommendation thread!

So, you've seen a film and thought it was brilliant, so recommend it to others.
A lot of films I watch are ones recommended to me by my brother (a film buff).
Last year he told me to get The Worlds Fastest Indian, with Anthony Hopkins who plays Burt Monroe, a Kiwi who's life wish is to race his 1920's Indian Scout motor 'sickle' across Bonnerville Salt Flats.
the film is compelling and Hopkins is brilliant.
Anyone with even the remotest interest in speed or motorcyles, will love this movie!
Can be found on Play.com for a few quid.

Watched it again whilst having tea this evening and it's still as good as the first time.

The Fountain. 2006.

Hugh jackman is brilliant and whilst it holds a personal meaning it will touch anybody who watches it. It can be very confusing but if you pre read the plot it allows a better firsttime understanding. The tree of life, finding a cure for death, and the inevitable fragments of time.

For black comedy at it's best, the nothing comes close to 'In Bruges'

Farrels delivery is superb.
Probably has the most movie quotes ever!
