Good Morning,
Got into my 1995 Coupe yesterday, and pressed the window button.....nothing, same on the passenger side....also the elctric sunroof has stopped working too. OK.....so me thinks, logically look for the fuse, now, cant find an obvious fuse for them, so gets the big book of Haynes, which as normal was useless for this problem, but transpires according to it that there is four relays for the windows/sunroof including two emergency cut out relays. Before I go gungho and attack the relay panel (by the where exactly is this panel under the dash), does any one have experience of this problem and can possibly offer a quick solution before I attack it with a 14lb sledge hammer..... Many thanks in advance for any help/advice given Best regards Ringo |

Had the same problem on 2 B4 avants which I presume will have a similar set up.
And that was the relay which is under the dash behind a panel held in with 4 screws (maybe 6 but only 4 went back in!!). Think the relay unit number was either 363 or 383. |

It's probably the thermal fuse under the drivers side parcel shelf, mine did this, when the inside of the car got hot the thermal fuse opened cutting power to the windows and sunroof, when the car cooled down everything was fine.
