I knew I had seen the registration number somewhere before.... Just checked some old photo's from my saddo pictures bin.... And here she is in all here glory in 1994 in the hotel carpark prior to the QOC visit to Malcolm Wilson Motorsport. How's that for a photographic memory of registration plates????? I should think about making a living out of doing something like that.....

Malcolm Wilson? I went on the qOC trip up to his place back in 1995. He was impressed with me 'cos I spotted his 500E Merc, which everyone one seemed oblivious to. His son Matthew then aged about 9, then took us out one at a time for a blast in a MK2 Escort around the field. Best quid I ever spent! A great trip. I remember Preecy's Nautic 20V smoking like a bad'un on the Bassenthwaite run, due to the hills and his driving. I am as bad for reg plates.....

Not sad at all - well spotted ! Any more 1980-83 quattro's in your photo archive?

Thanks - Peter

probably one of the most underrated classic from the past 20 years.
It is to Mercedes what the RS2 is to Audi and maybe even a touch better!
