Default 1988 audi coupe i bronze
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : Coupe 1.8
Price : £0.01
Location : Waterlooville, Hants
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook) ,Taxed ,MOT'd
On Ebay : Ebay Link

Found this on the bay, looks very clean and tidy with low mileage. Shame it's a 4-pot though. I suppose it might be worth putting in a 5-pot just to have a clean example!

Nice find Will looks very tidy that in Gobi metallic.
The first coupe i ever drove was a 1.8 when i was looking for my first GT.But it was so long ago the memory has faded a bit
Would be interesting to find out a comparison between these and the fivepot cars from someone who has driven both.
Would imagine the GTI engine would go quite well?

Agree - thsose 1.8 injections go extremely well, we had one on demo and it drove extremely well, not much in it performance wise. The steering and front end felt a lot lighter than the 5 cylinder models.

I stand corrected Emjay - just checked the paint code on my '88 GT which looks the same colour as the 1.8 and it is in fact ALMOND code LY1Y (GOBI code LY1V)
I've been living a lie all these years

Here's mine

The 1.8 Coupe GT is the Coupe equivalent of the 80 Sport.

Nippy, and with less of the boat anchor wanting to understeer you.

Also, lots of Mk2 Golf tuning tips available..........

Was hoping you'd keep the "beige" part quiet Ian
