Hi there

I bought a coup quattro a few months back, i'm unfortunately having some financial difficulties at the moment also trouble selling my other motor which is a BMW E30 3 series, basically i'm thinking to get rid of both cars and swap for a cheapo shed for a while

The last owner had it fully resprayed and undersealed and the result can be seen in the pics, its cosmetically near perfect with only a few tiny (and I mean really tiny) scratches here and there but not noticable, the Speedline alloys are like brand new. the interior however is a bit tired.

Its a 1990 H reg, the roof lining is quite badly stained, looks like water may have gotten to it at one stage and its sagging, the seats are in OK condition and everything works, it has leccy windows, sunroof, mirrors, the nearside mirror (passenger side) works fine, but the offside just moves left and right, doesn't bother me too much but its worth mentioning.

Parcel shelf is torn, I'll try to source a replacement for it if I have it long enough, Interior has a few odd holes and cracks here and there, basically looks like a 20 year old car on the inside.

The window wipers work but the rear wiper judders, the intermittent setting on the front wipers doesn't work but when turned on full they work fine, they don't return when switched off. seems they may need disassembling and re-greasing to get them working properly.

Diff lock aint working, I remember it working when I bought the car so maybe just a connection issue, lack of knowledge in this area so I don't know where to begin with it. ABS switch seems to need rewiring.

Mechanically it is sound, The day I bought it I drove it from Exeter to home here in Bournemouth and by the time I got back it was overheating and pushing coolant out of the expansion tank, it took two trips to the garage and over £600 to fix this problem, the culprit being a blocked secondary rad and temp switches. Car starts and runs fine and idles properly now.

Advanced Autos in Christchurch did the work, they're Audi specialists and knew exactly where to look. I would reccomend them.

I have about 10 old MOTs, it has had two previous owners since new and the reciepts for the work I did on it. I know it has had a new head on it at some point in its life but can't say when as I don't have a reciept, but under the bonnet everything seems to be fine, no smoke or rattles, its had new bushes fitted by previous owner and had the brass flywheel mod thing on the gearbox so it doesn't whine.

It has a decat standard exhaust, it sounds utterly wonderful to say the least, the current MOT expires April 2011, Tax til October 2010

I'd have a stab doing some stuff myself, but I have a lack of tools and also doing 50+ hours at my job nearly 6 days a week I don't have time to fiddle with it. I have given the interior a bit of a valet, I re-greased the tailgate lock because it was sqeuaking like hell, bought a trolley jack and wheel wrench for it which stowes away nicely in the boot. Has a full-size Speedline alloy spare. Has around 3 mil tread left on tyres all around

I paid £2000 for it in April, that was after a good test drive and poke around under the bonnet and everything seemed A-OK

It has/had a clifford immobiliser which decided to pack up last Saturday leaving me stranded at the top of Zig-Zag hill near Shaftesbury after a nice drive, RAC came out and re-wired it so it has to be started from a wire under the bonnett. Again if I have the car much longer i'll install a Toad AI606 immobiliser which I have on my beemer and works a charm.

When the immob broke it took the radio out as well, it has the original Blaupunkt cassette head unit in there still

Car starts, drives, stops and does everything else with no issues, its an absolute blast to drive. Odometer reads currently 121k miles but this is increasing as I use the car daily. Will be sad to see it go but needs a must and its not big enough to sleep in the back

Here are some pics:

Basically I may be open to sensible offers for the car, can give me an email to robert.iddon@gmail.com or ring or text me at 07747720121 I'm located in Bournemouth or PM me on here and i'll check nightly

Will consider a PX for something like a Beemer E36 325TDIs, or a Diesel A4/A6 Quattro. Would like to see it go to someone who can take care of it and do it justice

Edit: Forgot to mention its got two stone chips on the front windscreen, replacement screen being fitted this Friday

Not in a major rush to sell the Audi, will keep it unless someone gives me a good offer. Let me know if you want to come look and i'll give it a scrub up with some nice Meguiars stuff
