Default Photography-Had to tell someone.

Started taking pics,of my Nephew racing on his bike. That lead,to being asked to work for the Tracks official photographer.May 15th,went to 1st Aintree meeting and took pics.
Today, they were put up for sale.
Also a Bike Sports mag, want to see them and MIGHT publish some??
I was trying to set up my own web-site,but haven,t sorted it out.So this is(foot in door)better than nothing.
Photo,s are far from perfect, have you tried to (pan)photograph something going past at high speed? I,m getting there.
Would love to see,my pics in a mag.I,ll be well chuft.Bit like members on here, having their car put in a mag.
AINTREE 1 2010-123 PICS,OUT OF LOTS.

He came out of that,without a scratch.His bike didn,t.
Before the season, the track had been repaired.Just on a bend, they,d filled a hole with tarmac. He hit the tarmac and his bike slid from under him and then it cart wheeled afew hundred foot.(The rider, bounced abit)
I was looking through my lens at the bend,to hear a scrape to the right of me.I swung around and just kept my finger down on shutter buttton. It happened so fast and the lens didn,t have time to properly focus.Would have the got cracking shots,if it had.
All the crash shots, are the same guy.For some reason John the owner of the site, split them up.
I don,t wish anyone harm, but I,ve always got my eye out for a crash. You,re just waiting and then one comes out the blue.Alot of it,s down to luck.(Not for the rider.)
The lens i,ve got 80-200 mm f2.8,is afew years old and I,d like a bigger,newer and faster version.Only thing is,it,s about £5,000.(The one i,ve got now,is about £800.)
Love to get into it ,getting paid for something you enjoy.

Yep well done m8,action pics are always a bit tricky, selling a few pics is always nice,i've sold a few as album covers, for features, hard news,pr pics once you get a few sales and people know you and being reliable, it can soon take off and generate some much needed cash,BFPI publish a newsletter of current picture requirements of magazines, book publishers, card and calendar makers etc .They also produce a market handbook of all uk markets.Enjoy!

Loads, use to freelance for North Wales Newspapers, got pics used every week all the year round, did some work for Daily Post on Merseyside, done some commercial pics for brochures and flyers.Worked for Van Oord ACZ,Dr Pepper,Pontins Holiday camps, used to cover all the village galas, sports days even the odd wedding.sold a few framed prints of local beauty spots, churches. If a paper uses pics of local child sports hero, chances are mum and dad will want a few pics as well.Like you said a pic of a good smash has a lot of possible markets.

Only afew contacts.
Loved photography,since I was a kid.
Did acouple of (friends)weddings,using roll film camera.I was more nervous,than the couples.Taken pics for a 21st and a engagement.All friends,no pay.
Wedding photography looks well paid,£1000 a(average)wedding.
Only lately, have I looked into making some money.I,ll have to,do some more research.
Sods law,the crash photo was taken on my older f2.8 len.If I would have used my VR f3.5-5.6,I might have got a sharper picture??(focusses faster)Maybe next time?

I'd go to the local paper, just let them know you'll cover for the staff photographer if he's off, or too much on,show them a few of your best pics.I got a lot of work from the papers editor,he'd just put people on to me.
