Anyone got or had a misfire on a k jet equipped engine?
What did you do, how did you fix it?
Is there a weak link in the k jet somewhere?
Was it ignition perhaps?
Any info would be great, i'm pulling my hair out!

Misfires at tickover and low revs, clears up once you get past about 3000rpm. Makes driving it very irritating at slower speeds
Checked and cleaned metering unit, looks ok plunger not sticking.
Checked and changed vacuum hoses.
Checked and gapped plugs.. One and four looked a bit wet (not oily).
Air filter replaced.
fuel pump whirs a bit, don't think its overly noisy.
Checked ignition parts. New "Beru" cap, rotor arm, and leads fitted.
Checked and replaced coil with known good item.

At my wits end here!

What should compression figures be on a compression check? Also, what plugs do you guys use?
Thought these engines were supposed to be reliable

have you checked injector spray pattern, had same problem on 200 5t could be mesh filter in control pressure reg (warm up reg on cyl block) if it has a filter, have you checked to see if its running rich at idle? if you can get some sort of test gear you should have about 5 bar pressuse feeding metering head and about 1.8 bar cold going to about 3 bar hot on the pipe from the centre of the metering head to the control regulator. test the injectors pull them out the head (engine cold) push up metering plate and you should get a spray pattern if it does not mist or you get lines of petrol or it drips you need new ones.hope thats of some help

I am beginning to suspect injectors. How are they removed?

use a flat blade screw driver to gentle pull them out of the seats, blade of the screw driver to be placed at base of injector pipe nut. when you put them back in use wd 40 or similar around the o ring seal which secures the injector the ths seat make sure that they are fully home you should feel them "pop" back in . Any probs ring on 07832294090 cheers russell
