Default How committed to Audi are you?

OK,

Looks like someone (tttoptotty - new member with lovely white cabrio) might have the 4 rings as a tattoo somewhere.

One of my kids has Audi as a middle name.

How much of a true Audi nut are you?

(do you have 17000 model Audis in your house?, do you scream "Audi" in the middle of the night????)

I just have one ring.... It's not tattooed, and (thankfully) won't be on display to anyone...

My car loyalty is not to Audi, it's to the type 85. If it wasn't an Audi, I wouldn't really care. The fact that the Coupe / Coupe quattro / Quattro are Audi's is not really relevant to me....

However, I do have more than 100 Quattro models, and hundreds of brochures - I have enough to fill a fiing cabinet or thereabouts. Plus a bundle of other memorobilia. I even have a bottle of "Quattro" aftershave from circa 1985, and it still has it's contents

Audi really had it's high point in the mid 80's, everything since then has been getting more and more like the offerings from the other eurobox makers.
The sole exception is the R8, and we all know that's not an Audi.........

For me it's a car, thats all. I'll enjoy it while I have it. It could be a year it could be ten. When I sell her I may get another Audi but tbh there aren't really that many that float my boat, possibly a B3 or an earlier coupe but anything after about 1995 I just don't get.

When I do sell up it will more than likely be for another make entirely but for now I'm happy to be custodian of a pretty rare car that will makes me happy and breaks my heart in equal measure.

I'll happily buy the odd classic audi memorabilia and maybe thats just it, possibly I love this particular community forum more than the car itself

I'm a lot less committed to audi since my C5 platform A6 died due to multiple water ingress and electronics issues. As per above comments, they stopped making Audi's in 1997 didnt they?

that's some commitment there

I do love old Audi's, well type 85 only. I can appreciate the B3/B4/type44/C4 aswell.
