my car has just been in the garage and i need a fair few things.
So my trackday is now off... front track rod ends are on the way out, i expected that, i didnt expect the wheel bearing to be screwed. All these are readily available from GSF/Euro so no problem there. problem bits; Rear track rod end adjusters, 4 total two inboard two outboard. both siezed solid. what are these called?! - hopefully sourced SH from knightriderS2. If new where from!!! Rear callipers, both f**ked, options here, customcraft pointed out by beerbelly look good. But have a fair old wait. Also some porsche ones FS here but this will be a big bill so i am looking less likely for those at this point in time, however prices seem favourable. I can get SH from knightriderS2, if his are decent. Eurocarparts do exhchange pagid units which i am not massively keen on esp at near £200 EACH! Rear brake hoses, can source OEM replacement. But at 190k i Do think some braided hoses might be more suitable and give a bit more braking power. I have found these from the S6 2.2T http://www.brake-lines.co.uk/audi-a6...ake-lines.html. Do you think these would fit, i am guessing yes as i have an S6 2.2T brake setup. Rear Wishbone bushes, are shot as well but not urgent but will need done for MOT. Contemplated Polybushes but cant find anywhere for love not money. Any suggestions?

Quite a shopping list there....
![]() I tried to go the polybush route (rear) with mine but couldn't source any, so went with OEM ones in the end. Worked out quite cheap from Audi. Brake lines offer 10% discount to AOC members Rear track rod end adjusters I got new from ebay - seller: draco2700 Hope it helps Mark |

calipers are an exchange item with Audi so assuming you can get yours off... take them to your dealer and you can get exchange factory refurbed ones back.
I did. cant really help with the rest, pm Eltee on here and see if he can assist ![]()

OEM wishbone bushes look like the only option. Trawled everywhere and no aftermarket polys available.
Brakelines bought, going for braided. Calipers, is the pita, will speak to peter, is he perth or sterling audi?

Problem is its my daily driver, so i really need something off the shelf. To my knowledge most of the polyurethane manufacturer wont commit to small (ie one) order without a hefty price tag. However, I know a few folk with urS4/S6s in the same position perhaps this is the incentive to do something about it.

Eltee (Pete) is an utter saint, if Audi dealerships had people like this across the board it would make all our lives a hell of a lot easier.
Rear Calipers are special order from Germany no exchanges any more so full price at £200 (each) with discount. I am trying to find units from Dingbro and failing that if i cant get today I will opt for Custom Auto Craft units, awaiting a delivery period for these, with that bloody volcano its not great just now.

updates are;
Eltee was hugely helpful on the phone. Audi rear calipers were £225/ side with the discount, no exchange units anymore just a new purchase. The custome craft calipers dont fit the S4 which is different form the 100 So that left Eurocar parts for pagid exchanges at £120/ea or new units at £225 each. With a stroke of luck Alg came to the rescue with some good condition rears SH for £60. I have a seal rebuild kit i bought a few weeks ago so i will do that before fitting them. The rear tie rod adjusters I eventually sourced from customautocraft for 45euro per side. Take longer but i now have 2 tyres to add to the bill so have to find somewhere to save pennies. Brakelines.co.uk braided hoses work out cheaper than OEM lines so thats a help. Front track rod ends o/s & n/s and o/s/f wheel bearing replaced also. Thank god for credit cards, although i hope missus istoo doesnt open the bill... got a few days wait for the rear tie rod ends expect to have the bus back next week. At least i have saved a tank of fuel so far this week, although all the savings have been spent in the pub which happens to be right by the train station, how handy! Although i never bought anything from Stirling Audi aka Eltee aka Peter. What a very decent gent this man is, I know where my first port of call will be now when i get stuck again. Restores a lot of lost faith in Audi delearships, thank you. I owe you a pint at least.
