I might well keep it, although at the time I was really wanting a nice 90 quattro 20v sport!

Just put a new battery on, and a rear knock sensor, have done roughly 10k in it over the last 5 years. It's amazing how the engine feels like it 'comes on cam' at 4k, but still has ample torque at much lower revs. Definitely a car with a split personality!

With older cars I think it matters much less as parts availability can make even a minor repair difficult to do economically.

Any car that is cat C has that stigma attached, regardless of its age. It has to affect a cars value, if it wasn't cat C the car would easy be worth £2,000 but as it's cat C I agree with Audi80fan that £1,500 is a fair price.
