For anyone who grew up watching or was just a fan of The Professionals, a sad day:

So many familiar faces are passing away.............. RIP Mr Collins

I read somewhere he had been accepted into the Territorial SAS.

Looking at re-runs of The Professionals is so nostalgic. It was well made and stands up against today's TV offerings.

We had the Ford Capri, the Yanks had the Ford Torino........................

well, after a long stretch on duty, i know what i'm watching tonight over a few beers . .

i was amazed that he was never in the running for james bond when roger moore ended his run - he would have been the ideal man for the job and a fabulous successor to sir roger - a natural for the role of bond in my book.

aye, a sad month altogther and one i'll be glad to see the back of.

This shocked me when I heard. It's difficult not to imagine him as a strapping macho bloke, so to imagine him as a seriously ill 67 year old who has now passed away isn't easy.

RIP

Aye, sad news indeed. I loved The Professionals as a kid - 3-litre Capris going sideways! Happy days.

RIP Lewis Collins.

and you know the funny thing? this is all just the world turning around for the bazillionth time. a lot of you (like me) are likely in your middle years. this is the time where we experience a lot of deaths in both relatives and people we've admired when we were younger.

we went to see roger moore the other week and i'm so glad i did. he was my favourite bond and i'm delighted that i got to see him before he gets too elderly to remember what day of the week it is! funny, articulate, suave and as he said himself, one lucky bar steward!!

what a gent.

Where did you go to see the legend Rog? A mate of mine lives closeby to him in Switzerland and has met him a few times, sound as a pound he says
