Default Sump guards

Just a quickie, anyone with a rallyrep running an AMCars Sump Guard?, and if so, any chance of information on how it fitted up, mounting, effectiveness, etc.

Any photos would also be really good.

VBR

Many thanks....

I assume the sump guard mounts up to the Subframe at it's back edge, but how does it mount up to the front apron?...

Rear diff guard, again, I assume comes up onto the subframe?

The front of the sump guard ( i.e. at the front of the car) needs to mount onto a group 4 cross member. Adam sells these and so does Tonks 4x4. BUT, you will need to alter it as it's not deep enough to clear the KV sump. The group 4 cross member bolts onto the front of each chassis leg. This may also need some 'back of coupe bumper' modding to get it to fit home but seeing as you have Ur bumpers I don't know. Trouble is now you ideally will need an oil cooler mounted infront of the rad and possibly a bigger rad and uprated rad fan as things get bloody hot in there with no under car cooling. Derek's Cq was running insanely hot at Chatsworth and Oulton Park, so much so that he had issues with his dizzy!

Thank you Rich... That's superb information...

Kind regards

I have a mould for the sport sumpguard, which is taller at the front , it is also modified to be bolted to the subframe, as the exhaust gets in the way, unless you do big mods to take it over the g/box mount. Unless your doing 'proper' rallying it will do fine. Mine took some big hits on landing the jump at Chatsworth and stood up to it.
