Default Avant subwoofer installs

Hi. Has anyone here done subwoofer install in the sides or floor. I want one, but don't want to leave boot as it is in terms of space, I don't want a massive box at the back.

I am thinking about 8" shallow sub in the side, and amps for subwoofer and speakers under the floor.

Pictures and tips appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not done one on mine but there's examples of briskoda of wall sub installs in the octavia estate which should help massively, gives examples of shallow subs and how to mount everything whilst keeping things like the amp cool. The one I saw was a proper stealth install too which is what I personally prefer.

Other option is to go the bose sub route which is designed to fit behind the OSR wheelarch on Audi avants which may fit yours

Use original one as inspiration or install one.

Thanks will have a look. About the Bose, I've seen them before, but would it be as good as more modern ones?

Correct!

You'll get a LOT more bang for your buck than hunting down a second hand bose oem sub (which will more than likely cost you more than a new aftermarket!)

Will have a look around, maybe I can get the box, and replace subwoofer to more modern one, win win. Thanks

Nah, better off buying a jigsaw, borrowing a steady hand and building one that will 100% fit your car - really really isn't hard to make!

So it would be better to make a box? Because I was thinking of fixing the sub to the car's body, and make two goles in the side trim, so it doesn't rip the car apart.
