Nice cars back in the day. My friend had a sapphire cossie and he struggled to keep up with my Mk11 16v Golf on the Welsh back roads. On the motorway mind he pissed all over me. I preferred my Golf. It was brilliant

DVLA has that reg. against a silver 1796cc Sierra.

Looks like a cossie recreation, to me. Might have some cossie running gear, and engine, but

Front- should have a grille?
Looks like some XR4 bits
No side skirts

Maybe one of those re-shell efforts back in the day when cosworth’s could go missing?

I wonder if the tailgate is not the original, and the plate that is on it is the donor car's?

The original reg, D81 FOU, still being on DVLA is a positive sign but the bid level - if genuine - is ludicrous. I was at an H&H auction about 3 years ago where a good condition one went for about £58k - bargain!
