Honestly, save half the hastle and buy the finished material with the foam backing attached.

Gluing the edges makes a right mess!

Did i miss that gee or are you talking about the doorcards ?

Bruce, I'll be buying the one piece headlining cloth when I do that too. The door cards were enough to show me a couple of ££s spent now will get a better job in the end.

The finish with the glue is good but more than a bit messy.

I am sure Adrian did that if you mean the cloth that is foam backed, he is going to put some photo's on to show us.
I can see me with glue and god knows what stuck to my hand till it wears off
David has some ideas in the pipeline too.

Ideas, yes, clue, no, well that's what the wife says sometimes.
Should be getting my headlining the end of the week, foam backed.
The crunch is the glue, £60 for 5 litres. However the lads that I am getting the stuff from are some of the best trimmers in the country, the work make you stand open mouthed, and if they only use this for hot applications then I'm going to use it, cause I don't want to do the headlining twice.

They also trim vintage aircraft, and you don't want something coming unstuck doing a loop the loop.

Once I get the stuff I will do a bit of a pic write up.

Cheers

David

The glue I used was high-temp stuff in aerosol cans, and the covering was foam backed. Wasn't the nicest job I've ever done on a car but wasn't the most difficult either, just a bit messy.

Did you do the headlining David ? Unless i'm missing things you have been very quiet about the car, maybe you have been very busy.

No you haven't missed anything, I hang my head in shame, been flat out every night on the GT6 as I want to get it in colour before the summer ends. On hols now on the IOW visiting the outlaws, heaps of jobs to do, digging, building etc.

I have the headl lining and glue read to go alongside with a host of other bits, lower trims etc. Got a new set of rear calipers to change, rear wheel bearing has a little play, want to do the front bushes complete lot.

I am time short at the moment, Beaulieu auto jumble, the 3 days at Goodwood Revival, wedding aniversary party in Essex, another tough mudder to do, and a skydive to do, I need a holiday

Bruce, you'll need to Join Triumph torque forum, to see the GT6 as it currently stands. Looking utterly splendid in it's black epoxy primer!
And no Bruce, i'm not offering a sales pitch, i don't work for David or own his car.
