Default Removing front windsreen Audi 100 Type 44

Hi,
Im currently in the middle of respraying my Audi 100 diesel 1986. I would like to cut out the front windscreen as there is rust around it. It's the stuck in type. I was wondering if anyone had cut out a screen on an Audi 100 type 44 without damaging it and saved the trim around the screen. Or is it a case that the screen and/or trim cant be taken out without being damaged.

Any comments or answers would be greatly appreciated. THanks

You will damage the rubber but you can buy new ones. As for screen I would get autoglass to get it out but no grantee it wont break who ever removes it

Thanks Micky. I appreciate the advice. The reason id like to save the screen and/or trim is the price here is cuckoo for a replacement screen. around €450. if i could get away with replacing the rubber id be delighted. are u sure the rubber is available fairly easy?

Thanks again
