Removing front windsreen Audi 100 Type 44
Hi,
Im currently in the middle of respraying my Audi 100 diesel 1986. I would like to cut out the front windscreen as there is rust around it. It's the stuck in type. I was wondering if anyone had cut out a screen on an Audi 100 type 44 without damaging it and saved the trim around the screen. Or is it a case that the screen and/or trim cant be taken out without being damaged. Any comments or answers would be greatly appreciated. THanks |

You will damage the rubber but you can buy new ones. As for screen I would get autoglass to get it out but no grantee it wont break who ever removes it

Thanks Micky. I appreciate the advice. The reason id like to save the screen and/or trim is the price here is cuckoo for a replacement screen. around €450. if i could get away with replacing the rubber id be delighted. are u sure the rubber is available fairly easy?
Thanks again |
