431-412-175D front shock gaitors.X2. £10 each.
431-399-151D rubber mount X2. £7
857-199-415B front subframe bushes X2. £10 pair.

Would these parts fit my son's 1987 B3 90 quattro?

If they do would be very interested in them

Thanks

Default problems with identifying engine in audi 80 quattro

I recently purchased a 1990 audi 80 quattro saloon. original engine was 137bhp 20 valve injected. Just before the previous owner bought the car he was told that the engine was changed for a VW Golf. My problem now is that the engine casting code is almost unreadable - it may start with JS3. To add to the questions I was told he changed the head as well. So I think I maybe looking at an 8v 1984cc bottom end with god knows what strapped to the top. I ask these questions as you have been around the VAG block a while.

Any idea how I can identify properly the engine so that I can obtain spares. The head gasket just went so that is the main thing to be done. It has good oil pressure and no leaks but I have no idea what year the engine may have been from.

Default problems with identifying engine in audi 80 quattro

The main reason for the contact is I see you have several head sets available. Whatever the donor vehicle its ended up being a 1984cc injected 20valve. I guess it may say on those gaskets what may fit. Interested in anything else Audi 80 quattro saloon. Cheers Ed

Are you sure on the engine ?, 20v even in 2 litre form was never 137BHP that sounds more like the 4 cylinder 16v engine (136BHP), no 80 in B3 form ever had a 5 cylinder engine.

you are right its a 1984 16 valve original engine code was 6A but I notice the type is down as BA2 101KW. So its an odd one and the 16 valve 1984 16 valve was only in the car for a couple of years. Wikepedia isnt really helping me check out the old or the replacement engine at the moment.

its the engine code I am struggling to find. Its definitely an Audi 80 16 valve 101KW GKAT 5G (not sure if that means 5th generation). and the original motor was 6A ARS AXL. I am about to lift the head off so if I can work out what to do I will take pictures of the head and block then we may get to the point of knowing what parts you have that may fit. Thank you for helping out here the bloke I bought it from said it was quite a rare car and thus the relevant spares and codes are proving a challenge.
