Default Star Wars - The Last Jedi

Spoiler Alert!

Just seen the movie - yes, left it a bit late - and although I enjoyed it I just could not see where all the critical hype came from. I saw no obvious homage to Carrie Fisher apart from Luke kissing her goodbye in one scene, the acting bordered on comedy in others and the great Luke Skywalker keels over with exhaustion.

Am I alone in this assessment?

May the force be with you.

I really enjoyed it, the best recent Star Wars except for Rogue One I thought.

I liked that it didnt take itself too seriously

Same here, enjoyed it, glad they used a lot more real life sets rather than blue/green screen.

At the end of the day its a film, escapism, time to chill out for a few hours.

Star wars is just like any other film of today with special effects and the like, take a wee trip back to 1977, to the first Star wars, episode 4, A New Hope, I was only 12 and it didn't dawn on me at the time but George Lucas had a problem with numbers, anyway you tube like below, only 1.05 min long but you may get a kick out of it, May the force be with you, you mad fife git.

It’s easy to pick holes in Star Wars

Go onto YouTube and search on ‘how it should have ended’ which are brilliant

The films are still fun
