Never driven either, but "people say" (motoring press) that the 1.6 is a better balanced 205.

More like it mate??
don't know what it is with some people.

Have tried ringing for 3 days. Left 3 messages, emailed twice from to different accounts and still no feckin' answer! You'd think that they might actually want to try and sell the car as they have it bloody advertised.

strut brace is aftermarket- i dont remember one on mine
Personally I think the renault felt much faster than the pug but time may have had an effecct on the turbo.
1.6 is my preference over the 1.9, no noticeable difference in speed but felt better handerling to me.
Think you'll have fun in either though to be honest
(ps is it the mention of "air hostess" owned that you liked about the first??)

100% agree stu, my 1.9 was only really quicker than my 1.6 if you were lazy, 1.6 handled better. Gt turbo i think was quicker than both, stopped better and the absolute limit was a little higher. Renault was a real knife edge in the dry, when pushing really hard compared to the peugeot.
